*As the morning breaks on this strange land known as Malas, in the city of wolves. Lord Shimakaze after his morning prayers and meal strolls out of his home to take his morning walk. As he starts down the walk he notices the flag is up on his mailbox.*
“Odd the courier coming this early?”
*He walks to the box and finds two neatly wrapped packages. They are wrapped in fine parchment with silken bows. Upon each is a tag, one with his and the other with his daughters’ name neatly written upon it with a strong sure stroke of a master scribe. He reaches in to remove one of the packages and is surprised at its hefty weight. He moves the one marked with his name to his office, placing it gently on his desk. He then returns to gather up the second package, again taking it to his office, placing it next to his. He studies them for a moment then pulls out a sheet of parchment writes a quick not to Yoshi;*
*”My beloved daughter, two packages arrived the other day, this one was addressed to you. In this strange land I believe you have made a friend who has much honor. I do not know what to make of these strange folks. Love always, father."*
*After penning the note, he takes the package marked with Yoshi’s name up to her room, placing it carefully on the floor at the foot of the bed; he then places the note on the bed so that it may be read as she enters her room. He then returns down stairs to his office. Thoughts of this stranger of dark skin and white hair fill his mind. He thinks to himself that he has only encountered her a couple times and yet she seems….Oddly noble in her actions. He is still baffles at the return of Yoshi’s sword set and now wonders what has been sent in the beautiful packages. He seats himself at his desk and examines the folds of the paper and the neatly tied knot, looking at the artistry of the work. He slowly proceeds to untie the bow and remove the parchment wrapping, ensuring no damage is done to either. Once done he looks at the rather plain box puzzled.*
“Simplicity adorn in beauty this Lady of the wolves is more then she appears”
*Shimakaze then opens the box and carefully peaks inside. His eyes widen and he sets back from his desk shock and bewildered.*
*He looks around the room puzzled. He then returns to the box and slowly, gently removes its content. He lays out the handcrafted ancient armor and weapons upon the floor as if they were being worn. He then picks up each piece and examines it looking at the quality of workmanship and construction. He checks the areas that the makers normally stamp their marks finding them faint and unreadable, he know this items are priceless air looms of some former Tokuno house. He sits back on his feet stunned at the gift before him. He thinks back on his encounters with the Lady Severn and attempts to fathom what he did to her to gain this much respect and honor as to warrant a gift of this nature. He tries the armor on and to his amazement finds that with little or no adjustment it fits. He also notices a pair of high boots. Handcrafted leather riding boots. Trying them on, he smiles as they seem to hug his feet and give support. He walks around his office looking down at his feet and smiles once again. The a slight tangent of fear strikes him and he quickly removes the boots and checks the carpet to ensure no marks were left and looks to his door making sure Yoshi had not quietly slip in as she is known for doing. He packs everything back up neatly and stores it in his office.*
“I must watch this leader of wolves closer; she in another life would make an excellent Tokuno sage!”
